
Irving C. Williams, MD, MPH
After graduating from Howard University Medical School, Dr. Williams completed an internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital and residency at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital in Wisconsin. He completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at Harvard University and an MPH at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. After spending years providing pediatric and adolescent services at Group Health and Kaiser Permanente, he founded Adventures in Health, Education and Agricultural Development (AHEAD), Inc., a non-profit organization that works with underserved communities in developing countries. Dr. Williams is the Medical Director for AHEAD, Inc. and spends a few months of the year in Tanzania caring for sick children.
Irving
C. Williams, II, MD
Upon graduating from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee,
Dr. Williams completed his pediatric residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital
for Children. He joined Capital Area Pediatrics where he practiced for
almost five years in the Ashburn, Falls Church, and Herndon offices. His
interests include sports medicine, ADHD, and preventive medicine. He is
a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant specializing in concussion management.
In his spare time, Dr. Williams enjoys playing and coaching soccer. Currently,
he coaches a travel soccer team, ABGC Copperheads. When time allows, he
enjoys travelling around the world.
Veena
Butler, FNP-BC
A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Veena Butler is a Board Certified Family
Nurse Practitioner that graduated with a Masters Degree from George Mason
University Collaborative Program with The George Washington University.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked in the neonatal intensive
care unite at Inova Fairfax Hospital and in adult oncology/hematology
at The George Washington University. Mrs. Bulter feels strongly about
incorporating physical activity and good, well-balanced nutrition to achieve
optimal health from a young age. She enjoys caring for and working with
patients from infancy to adolescence and managing and treating a variety
of disorders and conditions. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time
with her family, being outdoors, gardening, and cooking.
