To help provide timely service to all patients, it is very important to schedule an appointment before arriving at the office. Most sick visits will be seen on the same day. If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule both of them when you make the appointment. When scheduling your appointment, please provide the receptionist with an exact description of your child’s problem so that we allocate sufficient time in our schedule to meet the needs of the child.

It is important to bring children in for regular checkups to keep them healthy. These routine exams and sports physicals should be scheduled as far in advance as possible.

This is our recommended schedule for Well Child Visits:

After the age of 12 years, we recommend well checkups annually or every other year until age 21 years of age. We follow ADHD medicine checks every four months and Asthma checks at least twice a year. If you are unable to keep your well child visit or medicine check appointment, please give us 24 hour notice. There may be a charge for missed appointments when we are not notified in advance.

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) who has completed advanced education at the masters or doctorate level in pediatrics or family medicine. FNP-BC is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. They have extensive training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions, including chronic illnesses. They focus on patients' conditions as well as the effects of illness on the lives of the patients and their families. NPs provide comprehensive, personalized health education and counseling, while making prevention, wellness, and patient education priorities. NPs are recognized as expert healthcare providers who are licensed in all states and nationally certified in pediatrics. They provide some of the same care as physicians while maintaining close working relationships with them.

We use an Electronic Medical Records system to ensure the most efficient care is available to our patients; thus, we do not have any paper charts in our office. All patient information is held in a secure computer network with backup. Only providers and administrative staff have access to the data and information needed to accomplish their work. This ensures protection of the privacy and confidentiality of your family’s health information.
